Analysis Of Peter Wilks s Hometown - 1842 Words

After arriving at the Wilks’ hometown, they asked for Peter Wilks, making sure to look as natural as possible. They identified themselves as the England brothers and the Wilks family embraced them like they were one of their own because they had no idea that they were not their real family members. Huck commented that he felt disgusted by the world for having people like the duke and the king, who will do everything in their power for money. People started to surround them and was in awe of those brothers while still giving them the privacy that they deserve since it was their moment with their â€Å"brother.† They acted like they were praying for their life even though those two didn’t even know a single thing about the Peter Wilks other than the fact that he’s rich. The king spoke about gibberish while sobbing, even though Huck knew that they weren’t sincere. After the ceremony, Peter’s daughter, Mary Jane, gave the duke and the king William and Harvey’s share of inheritance. When they received the money, they realized that it didn’t have the amount of money that the will had stated. So, they created a whole scene, giving all the money to Peter’s family, knowing that Mary Jane will give the rightful amount of money back. A relative of the Wilk’s family didn’t believe in the duke and the king and said that they were frauds, but Mary Jane never l istened. After a while of thinking, he felt compelled to take back the money that the imposters stole from the Wilks family
